If your goal is initial understanding, video can be an effective medium, as can a lecture, pdf, and word document If your information is critical must know, and your goal is long term, individual, fluency, transfer, successful application and behavior change, the video alone will not provide enough differentiated instruction, over time or differentiated reinforcement, over time. My suggestion is to delve into how individuals learn and model your instructional design and instructional tools incorporating these proven methodologies, consistent with your defined objectives For critical must know information, think and implement (1) personalized learning, over time, (2) personalized reinforcement over time, in a blended learning environment (interactive video is part of  blended learning) +
